What is sugaring?
Sugaring is a traditional Egyptian hair removal method which is safe and 100% organic. This method consists of using the paste made of sugar, water, and lemon juice, which is applied cold on the skin and pulls the hair from the root.
What is the difference between sugaring and regular waxing?
Sugaring is a gentle hair removal method made of only natural ingredients, it's used cold on the skin and it exfoliates the skin while removing the hair. Waxing takes off the protective layer of the skin, it's used hot on the skin and it contains toxic ingredients.
Is the application same as regular waxing?
The application is opposite from regular waxing. Sugar paste is applied in the opposite direction of hair growth and it's removed in the natural direction of hair growth. Regular waxing is applied in the natural direction of hair growth and it's removed in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Why do we pull sugar paste in the natural direction of hair growth?
With this technique there is less or no hair breakage, no ingrown hairs and it's a less painful hair removal treatment.
How often should I get sugared?
Once a month is generally the appropriate time in between treatments but everybody is different as hair grows in stages.
How long should the hair be for sugaring?
You need 1/4 inch or length of a grain of rice. The hair should be long enough to lay flat on the skin to get the best results.
Which direction do I pull for sugaring?
Using the leg as an example you would apply the sugar paste from the foot up toward the knee and remove it from the knee down toward the foot.
Can I sugar my intimate area?

What should I do before sugaring treatment?
1-2 days before sugaring exfoliate your skin to get the best results.Your skin must be dry and not oily, sweaty or damp. Remove all lotions, creams, deodorant, spf and oils. Keep exfoliating 2 days after sugaring treatment and do it twice a week.
What should I do after sugaring treatment?
Avoid following activities for the next 24-48 hours: sun exposure, saunas, skin exfoliation, creams with irritants, tight clothes and working out.
I'm shaving and want to start sugaring, how long should I wait until the regrowth?
Allow 10-14 days hair regrowth from shaving and 3-4 weeks since last sugaring or waxing treatment.
Can I use baby powder while sugaring?
YES. Apply baby powder or a powder specifically to absorb moisture to ensure the skin is dry enough to apply the paste.
Can I get rid of strawberry legs with sugaring?
